Ye Sheng "Wild" Sichuan Green Tea 2026 AA

Spring green tea from wild-growing bushes in Sichuan province.

Small, tender leaves are pan-fired in a wok and shaped with a long lengthwise twist. The dry leaf smells nutty and herbaceous, with hints of flowers and spice. The liquor is clear and pale green. The taste is rich, fresh and balanced, gently sweet, with notes of sunflower seeds, nuts, fresh greens, flowers and berries, and a long, pleasant aftertaste.

Temperature: 75–80°C

Teaware: porcelain gaiwan, thin glass

Tip: Use 3–4 g per 100 ml with short 5–10-second infusions to keep the nutty sweetness clean; this tea also makes an excellent cold brew.
