Tea Pets

Tea pets are small figures that live on the tea tray and are “fed” with rinse water and the last drops of each pour. Ours are made of Yixing and other clay, stone and resin; clay figures slowly darken and gain a sheen with use, and colour-changing ones such as the toad and the goldfish change colour when hot water runs over them.
